The average weekly cost of living in a residential care home in the UK is £704, while the average weekly cost of a nursing home is £888 across the UK. The monthly average cost of residential care is £2816 and receiving nursing care in a care home costs on average £3552.
In Home care costs on average £15 per hour, so if an elderly person needs 2 hours of care per day the cost is 2 x £15 x 7 (days) per week = £210 x 52 (weeks) = £10,920 or £910 per month.

The Grand Haven is a new company established in the United Kingdom. Since discovering that 25,000 Elderly people are forced to sell their homes to fund their social care costs due to insufficient income, we felt compelled to do something about this. Not only are Elderly people forced to sell their homes they are doing so to obtain dismal care provisions.
We at The Grand Haven find this appalling. Therefore we have set out a robust plan to operate a network of Eldercare residence worldwide based in warm and hot climates.
The Grand Haven is launching its first residence in Jamaica, promising to offer complete 5-star care covering health, wellbeing, dining, activities and much more.

The Status Quo
The Elderly will have acquired their home, invested, and or saved during their working lives.
Since 2014 the Elderly have been subjected to a charging regime that adopts the 2011 “Report of the Commission on Funding of Care and Support”… (the “Dilnot proposals”).
This ‘charging regime’ has led to approximately 25,000 people being forced to sell their homes in order to fund their social care costs.
Our proposal provides sanctuary to the Elderly and their assets by moving them out of the statutory reach of Local Authorities.
Our vision is to establish Eldercare provided abroad by a UK recognised and regulated Care Delivery Partner (CDP) with the agreement and choice of the Elderly clients and their families.
